A True Partner in Your Journey
At The Nourishment Center we partner with patients and their families to overcome a range of life’s challenges through specialized treatment plans and access to professional resources. We’ll always take the time to listen to you, respect your opinion, and care for you as a whole person.
Assessment and Treatment Planning
Our patients are coming in with early signs of an eating disorder for a new diagnosis, our patients are stepping down from a higher level of care (PHP, RES, IP), our patients do not have eating disorders but do face challenges that the need help sorting through. When you or your referral source contacts The Nourishment Center, you can expect to have a short phone meeting to share your basic needs and then an intake appointment where full assessment and treatment planning will take place. Initial diagnoses will include assessment for the appropriate level of care depending on symptom severity and APA guidelines. A family can expect to receive feedback from the therapist about what treatment plan, frequency, and support needs are recommended and available.
Schedule AppointmentIndividual Counseling
One on one, individual counseling is provided by Licensed Professional Counselors at The Nourishment Center, who are trained and experienced working with your specific needs. Patients typically meet with their therapist at most once or twice a week and then less frequently from there as treatment progresses. Therapists at The Nourishment Center are trained to work with non-eating disorder diagnoses and most dual diagnoses. If a patient has an external therapist already, conjoint therapy can be part of the treatment planning process if beneficial for the patient.
Schedule AppointmentNutrition Counseling
Effective nutrition counseling uncovers the what and why of how we eat. This enlightenment and education ultimately brings health transformation and a shift in patient/family relationship with food. Nutrition counseling guides the treatment process with meal plans, intuitive eating and exposures to challenge foods, lab reviews, supplement recommendations and goals surrounding restoring balance and metabolic health. The Nourishment Center is proud to collaborate in-house with Wise Nutrition Counseling to provide this service in one physical location.

Skill Development
An eating disorder wreaks havoc on a patient’s life in many ways, stealing values and time management, taking joy from what most consider normal tasks/events. If there is a skill that a patient wants to develop or reclaim, The Nourishment Center offers the opportunity to practice that skill in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Examples include ordering at a restaurant, eating out with a friend, cooking, socializing at a gathering, joyful movement, grocery shopping. These exposure/response prevention (ERPs) allow patients the chance to specifically address challenges that they wish to overcome as part of their recovery.
Case Management & Advocacy
Families of our patients are often overwhelmed and exhausted by the many facets of an eating disorder and how to navigate treatment in the real life milieu. The Nourishment Center can advise and advocate for students, employees in the community. We often help with 504 plans, consult with coaching staffs, work with corporate human resources, and collaborate with medical teams in order to help patients use their voices, rearrange triggers, request accommodation, and ensure success.
