The Nourishment Center is not in network with insurance, which is also referred to as a private pay facility or an out of network provider. We are out of the managed care system because we believe care should be laser focused on our clients and flexible to move with them on the journey. We believe we can stay true to this mission more effectively and efficiently by staying private pay. With that said, we want to support access to care, which is what the benefit of being in network would help us do. Below are some options that we provide.
Our rates are listed on our website, and are included in our initial paperwork. We are an "a la carte" system, meaning we will recommend and term things that match our menu of options. If you are accepting a recommendation of weekly counseling with monthly parent consult sessions, you can easily calculate - and ask your clinician for assistance with this if you need it -- what your cost will be. You can also give us a budget and we can meet you there, arranging services that are strategically working for you and aligned with your financial system.
A Superbill is a document that looks like an invoice or statement, but has billing and procedure codes on it, as well as diagnosis information. We generate these documents for our clients who want to file sessions with their health insurance. We encourage all of our clients who have health insurance to contact their insurance advocate and let them know that they are seeing a mental health professional or a dietitian that is out of network, and that they want to use their benefits to get reimbursement for using an out of network provider. Many insurance plans will do this, but you have to ask and advocate. Many of our clients receive reimbursement for part or all of their session fees by filing a superbill.
